Family Participation & Services
A Resource For Parents
As parents, knowing when to ask for help is often one of the most difficult decisions. The staff at Confluence has years of experience assisting families as they seek to improve the conditions of their young adult’s life.
Our programs not only serve young adults but also support the family to create clear lines of communication, improved relationships and identify boundaries and expectations. Participants and families embark on this journey together and the program is designed for the entire family system.
Family Involvement is Key In Our Collective Treatment Success
When young adult mental health challenges present a significant disruption to everyday functioning, Confluence’s unique approach offers families a comprehensive option. Parents enrolling young adults at Confluence may have supported their child through a range of treatment options with unsuccessful outcomes or they may have just recently learned of their child’s challenges and severity. In either case, the programming and staff at Confluence are there to help families navigate and steer through these turbulent waters.

Supportive, Open, and Clear Communication
Because we know healing takes its strongest hold in the context of relationships, the program integrates families into our process of care. Rooted in a family systems approach, we create opportunities to integrate the family into the treatment process. Confluence offers programming to parents throughout treatment to help parents navigate the therapeutic process alongside their young adult. Parents work closely with the treatment team to gain insight into familial patterns and relationship dynamics. The process seeks to develop supportive, open and clear communication and improve relationships. Parents and participants alike learn skills that reinforce treatment goals and support better outcomes.

Explore Your Health Insurance Benefits
Confluence admissions staff are available to help families navigate and better understand the insurance landscape as it relates to mental healthcare services. Our Residential and Outpatient programs work with insurances, however our coaching and transitional housing services do not accept insurance at this time. Confluence can bill insurance directly and private pay options are available as well.
