Rory Dillon, BA

Residential Director

Rory is the centerpin of the residential experience at Confluence, where she is instrumental in creating the homelike, welcoming and comfortable environment that is the Farmhouse at Confluence. Community is important to Rory and her warm personality fosters the supportive environment at Confluence.

Rory has a BA in Education, attended Art School for Photography and holds certifications in health coaching and group fitness instruction. Her professional interests include functional nutrition and the impact of food on the brain, moods and overall well-being. In her role, she gets to see in real-time how healthy eating and balanced nutrition can support a participants’ path toward wellness. 

Her professional experience includes owning an independent photography business, managing and growing award winning restaurants in the greater Boston area focused whole foods and nutrition, and teaching the elementary grades. Collectively these experiences have shaped her approach to the work at Confluence bringing forth the values of community, creativity and health. 

In her free time Rory is a road cyclist who loves exploring the rolling hills of the Upper Valley region of Vermont and New Hampshire on her bike. Her personal zen is planting and cultivating a cutting, herb and kitchen gardens at Confluence and home. She never shies away from an adventure close to home or far afield. Rory hales from a large family with two many siblings, nieces and nephews to list and enjoys creating community around the kitchen table with them all.
